General OverviewIn 1995, Gene Sive, and Byron Gwinn III got together to document the thrills and excitement of off-road racing, destroying several cameras and one helicopter in the process. The result? "Rockbusters" While Rockbusters concentrates on the Trophy Trucks of the 1995 SCORE Desert Series, fans of desert racings other classes can't help but be impressed. Theres something about a $300,000, 700+ HP truck taking on the worlds most rugged terrain at over 130 mph. that just "does it" for you. And does it well Highlights
The Verdict - 3.5"Rockbusters is filled with a lot of exciting racing action that will likely satisfy 99% of fans and racers alike. This video is worth several viewings, and just the thing for a night of bench racing. There are however 2 glaring problems IMO. First is the re-use of footage. One great jump shot is reshown several times, and there are repeats of several additional scenes. The second is the word "Rockbusters" repeated over and over and in several octaves (ala - "SUNDAY, SUNDAY, SUNDAY!!!!) to the point where you want to turn the volume off entirely. While your tolerance level may vary, it will erode in time. Overall, this video is well worth the $20 price, and will definately get the ol' adreneline pumping. Just remember to use the mute button wisely. For more information about "Rockbusters", contact... Baja Racing Products |
